BEFORE SCHOOL CARE
We get it - trying to get the kids out the door on time can leave you feeling anything but cool, calm, and collected. So, kick off your kids’ day right with Fun Zone’s Before School Care Programme.  We’ll take care of everything: serving a nutritious breakfast to helping with that last-minute maths homework. 

AFTER SCHOOL CARE
School pick-up time has become every working parent’s nightmare. There’s nothing worse than sitting in traffic, knowing your kids are waiting for you. 

3 pm doesn’t have to make you anxious. Take the stress out of your evening with Fun Zones After School Care Programme. 

Enjoy peace of mind knowing your kids are safe at school, having fun with their mates and are in no hurry to be picked up. Better yet - we’re one of only two after-school care services that operate until 7 pm in Kāpiti.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMME
For the School Holidays, are you scrambling to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays? Struggling to juggle office hours with family time? We can lend a hand.  When it comes to school holiday programmes, we know our stuff. In fact, Fun Zone has been entertaining local Kāpiti kids during the school holidays for over 15 years. 

What can I expect for Breakfast Club? 

A calm space to help your tamariki get into the right headspace for school, including fun games and activities.

Last-minute homework help. 

A healthy breakfast spread (toast, cereal etc) to make sure your kids are energised for the day ahead.

What can I expect for After School Care? 

A fun environment for your kids to unleash some energy before they head home. There’s something for everyone, including arts & crafts, organised games & sports, free play opportunities, controlled time and usage of devices, a variety of short & ongoing projects, quiet space for chilling or reading, and even extra special planned activities like gymnastics, kids box fit and Zumba.

A headstart on their homework - we cap homework time at 20 minutes. After all, they’ve been cooped up in class all day! 

Afternoon tea and special 6 pm nibbles (for late pick-ups). We ensure sugar intake is limited and we can cater to all allergies. Our wholesome snacks will make sure your kids’ pukus are full until tea time.

An optional pick-up service if your child attends a programme that is not on the school grounds. Our team transports your child to the local programme site for you.

How do these things work for School Holiday Programmes? 

Our holiday programmes are divided into two separate age groups, ensuring all activities are age-appropriate:

• Juniors - designed for kids between 5 and 9 years of age

• Seniors - for your energetic pre-teens, aged between 10-14

Where is Before School Care?

Before School Care is available for Waitohu School students only. We operate in the Waitohu School Hall between 7:30 am -8:45 am. Children can head straight to their classrooms from 8.30am.

Where is After School Care?

After School Care is available at Ōtaki School Hall for Ōtaki School, Te Kura-a-iwi o Whakatupuranga Rua Mano & St Peter Chanel School students and at Waitohu School Hall for Waitohu School and Te Horo School Students.

We operate from when schools finish for the day until 7 pm. We offer FREE pick-ups from all schools noted above.

Where is the Holiday Programmes?

School Holiday Programme enrolments are open to all local families. For our Ōtaki whanau we are based at Waitohu Primary School.
