You’ll find us in the Kāpiti district at Kapakapanui, Kenakena, Waitohu, Waikanae and Ōtaki school.
What are the fees?
Our programme fees are outlined below including information about how you can save with our Fun Zone Combo deals.

Do you provide food for the kids?
We offer seasonal and nutritious meals at our Before & After School programmes. Each location will differ from day to day. Our breakfast options include fruit, cereals and toast. Afternoon teas could be fruit, wraps, sandwiches or soup as examples.
If your child has any special dietary requirements we will work with you to cater to these as well. You can do this by adding a note to your enrolment.
Can I apply for a subsidy?
All our programmes are OSCAR subsidy approved. For more information about OSCAR subsidy check this for helpful information.
Please note that we do offer a small number of sponsored spots on our programmes. To apply please contact your local school to be considered.
Can a friend/relative pick up my child?
We understand things come up and sometimes you need a friend or relative to step in for pick up time. We’ll record the names of any regular caregivers who may collect your child at sign up. We ask that you contact us ASAP if you need to advise of a pick up at short notice by a friend or relative.
Fun Zone will never release any child to a third party without prior consent by a parent or caregiver. We will also collect names of anyone not authorised to collect your child.
What happens if I am running late?
Please make contact with us ASAP to advise if you’re running late. Our staff do require undisrupted time to set up and pack down from each programme. Please be advised that lateness can incur a fee of up to $25.00.
What happens if my child is away?
Please let us know at your earliest convenience if your child will be away for sickness, bereavement or any other reason.

If your child is absent due to general illnesses like flu, cold, chicken pox, or covid-19 for 1-3 consecutive working days, please be aware that regular fees will remain applicable.

If your child is absent due to a family bereavement, please contact us at your earliest convenience. No fees are necessary in this situation.

We will contact you if your child does not arrive by 8 a.m. for Before School Care or Holiday Programme. Please note that full fees, including excursion fees, will apply.
I need to change/cancel my enrolment.
We operate very similar to Early Childcare Centres meaning we charge per space and not if your child attends a programme.
All changes will incur a $10.00 administrate fee per change. If you need to cancel your enrolment here’s what to expect:

Notice given at least 5 working days before the absence day: NO CHARGE
Absence not notified or notice received within 5 working days of the absence: 100% chargeable.

Notice given at least 7 working days before the absence day: NO CHARGE
Absence not notified or notice received within 7 working days of the absence: 100% chargeable (includes excursion costs).

Are your staff trained?
All our staff are police vetted before and regularly during employment.
We also provide ongoing training and support to our teams including but not limited to Health & Safety, First Aid, Child Protection, Behavioural Management, and more.

What are the staff to child ratios?
We take the care of your children seriously. That’s why our staff to child ratios are higher than national expectations.
1:15 with a minimum of 2 staff on site at any time.
1:10 on holiday programmes and excursions.
1:4 during higher risk activities such as swimming
What happens if my invoices are overdue
Overdue accounts will receive a reminder text message one week overdue advising of the overdue account (Stage1).
After two weeks overdue with no communication or arrangement a late fee 10% is added per week of the outstanding amount until communication or payment has been received (the account has been sent to our Debt Management Services) and a text is sent (Stage 2).
After three weeks overdue, with no communication or payment, a text is sent advising of removal of all services by a deadline (Stage 3).
Following Stage 3, a text message with a 7-day deadline is sent, accompanied by phone calls and emails to establish contact before the deadline arrives (Stage 4).
If there has been no communication, the outstanding account (along with any penalty fees) will be sent to a Debt Collection Agency. Any expenses incurred in the collection of overdue payments will fall under the responsibility of the parents or caregivers, not Fun Zone.
